It connects a homeowner with the contractors available to build the project and with licensed Florida professional engineers, and gives each of the three parties the tools their own part of the job needs — so the whole project runs in one place. The homeowner describes the space and compares quotes. The contractor prices real dimensions and finds an engineer without leaving the workspace. The engineer receives a project already digitized, reviews it, and signs and seals the drawings.
The tools that exist today: AI photo analysis and renders, sketch vectorization, a plan generator, an AI plan reader that digitizes an existing drawing into editable sheets, structural calculations run against ASCE 7-22 for wind, AISC 360-22 for steel, ACI 318-19 for concrete, NDS 2018 for wood and ADM 2020 for aluminum, and an engineer review-and-seal workflow — with wind data seeded for all 67 Florida counties including the High-Velocity Hurricane Zone.
Free to join for homeowners, contractors and engineers — no card and no subscription. Built Roster charges a 5% platform fee to the contractor and 5% to the engineer, only when a project closes.
What we do not claim: Built Roster is not a permit service and does not pull, file or process permits — the licensed professionals do their own work. The AI drafts and a licensed Florida PE decides and seals. Our county data is reference material that must be verified with your local authority having jurisdiction (AHJ). Homeowners can start pergola projects today; screen enclosures are the next structure type and are not open yet.
